1001 llibres que s’han de llegir abans de morir

He trobat una llista dels 1001 llibres que s’han de llegir abans de morir. La llista inclou llibres d’autors de totes les èpoques; des d’autors contemporanis (del darrer segle) com Saramago, Murakami, Amélie Nothomb, Paulo Coelho, Antonio Tabucchi, Isabel Allende, Umberto Eco, George Orwell… fins a autors clàssics com ara Conan Doyle, Dickens (1800), Jonathan Swift (1700), Cervantes i Isop (pre-1700).

La llista és feta per un anglòfon i és, òbviament, força subjectiva (i sense representació catalana, és clar). De tota manera, si vull llegir-me els 1001 llibres, ja puc afanyar-me: de tots els llibres que hi ha, me n’he llegit aproximadament una vintena (una trentena, a tot estirar)!

I came across a list of the 1001 books you must read before you die. The list includes authors from the 21th (and 20th) century, such as  Saramago, Murakami, Amélie Nothomb, Paulo Coelho, Antonio Tabucchi, Isabel Allende, Umberto Eco, George Orwell… as well as classic authors like Conan Doyle, Dickens (1800), Jonathan Swift (1700), Cervantes and Isop (pre-1700).

The list is written by an English speaker, and is, obviously, quite subjective -and, of course, there aren’t any books written by Catalan authors. Anyway, if I intend to read all 1001 books before dying, I’ll have to hurry: I’ve only read about two dozens of the books that appear on the list!
